Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs Holds 1st Meeting of Women Empowerment Committee in Collaboration with General Womens Union

As part of the ongoing partnership between the General Women's Union as well as the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA), the Women Empowerment Committee held its inaugural meeting at the InterContinental Dubai.

The meeting explored ways to support females's empowerment, boost their depiction in the Federal National Council (FNC), as well as urge their active involvement in the upcoming political elections, which, in turn, more enhances the UAE's ranking on the Female's Empowerment Index, which is a vital element of the UAE's competition.

The Women Empowerment Board consists of Ministry of Area Development, the Federal Youth Structure, the Federal National Council, the National Media Council, the General Women's Union, as well as the Gender Balance Council.

Also on the Committee are agents from several womens empowerment organisations operating in the UAE, namely: Women Renaissance Association in Dubai, Sharjah Womens Union Association, Umm Al Moumineen Womens Association in Ajman, Women Association Society in Umm Al Quwain, Womens Renaissance Association in Ras Al Khaimah, and the Court of H.H. the Ruler of Fujairah.
