Ministry of Education Collaborates with Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation to Foster Cultural Creativity Among Students

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) to strengthen collaboration between the education system and the cultural sector in the UAE. The partnership aims to enhance students’ cultural creativity, enrich school environments with artistic initiatives, and promote the Emirati national identity through arts and culture.

The signing ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education, and Her Excellency Huda Ibrahim Alkhamis, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation and Founder & Artistic Director of the Abu Dhabi Festival, in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Al Qasim, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, along with several officials from both sides.

The MoU seeks to empower students and educators to actively contribute to the UAE’s evolving cultural and artistic landscape, while positioning the nation as a global hub for cultural innovation. Key areas of cooperation include the integration of visual and musical arts into educational curricula, exchange of artistic and academic expertise, organization of art-focused events and competitions, support for professional development among arts educators, and exploration of new cultural enrichment opportunities within schools.

The agreement underscores the Ministry’s commitment to working with national institutions to enhance educational offerings through advanced arts and culture programs. The MoE also commended ADMAF’s long-standing contributions to nurturing a dynamic cultural scene across the UAE.

Her Excellency Huda Ibrahim Alkhamis, Founder of ADMAF, emphasized the importance of the partnership in enriching school curricula and elevating arts education. She said, “At the heart of our mission is the commitment to providing creative resources as a strategic investment in the future of students, particularly in public schools. The arts are a powerful driver of innovation; they connect us with the world through the exchange of ideas and cultural dialogue. Through their complementary relationship with science, technology, engineering, the humanities and mathematics, they inspire us and open new horizons for creativity.”

H.E. Alkhamis further highlighted that the collaboration reflects a shared vision to deepen the integration between education and culture, building sustainable partnerships centered on creativity, innovation, and youth empowerment across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

This initiative marks a key milestone in advancing cultural education in the UAE, reinforcing the role of arts in shaping well-rounded, creative, and globally connected students who contribute to the nation’s vision for sustainable development and innovation.
