Ministry of Health and Prevention Holds Workshop on Non-communicable Diseases

The Ministry of Health and Prevention recently organized a workshop on diseases (NCDs) in Dubai, in the visibility of Dr. Aisha Suhail, Director of the Primary Health Care Department, MOHAP. In addition to, speakers from Mohammed Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University, and Thumbay Healthcare facility also enhanced the occasion.

Dr. Suhail said addressing NCDs such as diabetes mellitus, Cardio vascular conditions, cancer cells, and chronic breathing Conditions is key concern of the UAE government and Ministry of Health & Prevention. NCDs make up a big burden and a significant public health problem in UAE as they make up 65 per cent of deaths in the country.

She referred to the recently created NCD multisector activity plan 2017-2021 and the establishment of national Committee for NCD avoidance and control with full interactions of all non-health markets. The recent growth was in feedback to the execution of the United Nations Affirmation on Non-Communicable Diseases and based on the World Health Organization's goal of lowering by 25 percent all NCD-related deaths by 2025.

The results of the NCD illness assimilation test were presented during the workshop and tips were made to strengthen the solutions offered. The recent evidence in the diagnosis and therapy of hypertension and diabetic issues was reviewed.

At the end of the workshop, workshops were held for clinical staff, and focused on ways to deal with conditions. The workshops likewise included a discussion on the most recent advancements and treatments for NCD's, and the most recent smart applications for people with blood pressure problems.
