Landmark Group brings back the annual SuperKidz initiative to inspire children to live healthier lives

SuperKidz Creative Competition will award a total of AED 50,000 worth of scholarships towards school fees for 2019 winning entries

Landmark Group today announced the launch of the Super Kids Initiative, creating its efforts to promote healthy living and active lifestyles among children in the UAE. Part of the group's Beat Diabetes initiative and supported by its popular children's brands, Baby Shop and Fun City, SuperKidz was built with the basic goal of encouraging kids to Get Active and Eat Healthy.

Through the SuperKidz initiative, Landmark Group conducts a month-long health awareness campaign in schools in the UAE. This includes free zumba sessions and fitness activities run by superheroes, super sam & super sara - together they create SuperKidz code to promote the message of health and wellness among children.

Speaking about the initiative, Landmark Group Chairwoman and CEO Renuka Jagtiani said, We are proud to bring back the SuperKidz initiative this year and encourage more children to live healthier lives. It is important that we talk to the younger generation, make them realize how important it is to adopt healthy habits and stay fit from a young age. One of the main reasons that helps us take this initiative forward every year and reach more and more children is the support of schools, our partners and the community. A special thank you to GEMS Education and the Dubai Fitness Challenge for joining us to spread our message to the youngest and most important part of our community.

As part of the SuperKidz campaign, this year, the Landmark team will be offering outreach programs in schools for a month, organizing a variety of fitness activities to engage with students and encourage them to lead an active lifestyle. After last year's overwhelming response, the SuperKidz Creative Competition will be launched again this year for 4-10 year olds to think about healthy lifestyles.

Along with exclusive educational partners, Gems Education, this years SuperKidz Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 further emphasizes the importance of fitness and fitness among children and conducts 30-minute fitness routines across schools.

In addition, children will have the opportunity to participate in the online SuperKidz Creative Contest, which will include a drawing and a creative writing challenge. Children ages 4 to 6 can submit a map based on this year's theme - Super Sam & Super Sara battle their very first Unhealthy Villain, children aged 7-10 can submit stories based on the same theme, or in Arabic. The entries will be decided by a panel of experts, including representatives of GEMS education and artists. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony held early next year. Last years success idea has now been published and is available online. 10,000 printed comic books with the message of an active lifestyle will be distributed in schools.

This year, Landmark Group will provide the first two winning entries with their AED15,000 and AED10,000 in both writing and drawing, respectively, as their school fees. The Landmark Group is at the forefront of fostering an informed and healthy community through its annual flagship CSR initiative - Beat Diabetes and the SuperKidz Campaign. This year, the Beat Diabetes Walk will take place at Zabeel Park on November 15th. Following the 3km walk, attendees can freely check their blood sugar levels at the kiosks checked by the Dubai Health Authority, as well as many ground events and complimentary fun activities.
