Keeta officially launches on-demand delivery operations in Bahrain
Keeta has officially announced the launch of its on-demand food delivery operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking a new milestone in the company’s regional expansion. The platform is backed by Meituan, a global technology company specialising in digital services.
The announcement was made during an official launch ceremony held in Manama, attended by His Excellency Mr Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and His Excellency Mr Ni Ruchi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Senior government officials, representatives from relevant entities, and members of the business and restaurant community were also present.
The event highlighted the importance of public-private sector collaboration in driving economic development and accelerating the adoption of advanced digital solutions across key sectors in Bahrain.
Keeta’s entry into the Bahraini market forms part of its wider regional growth strategy, following the launch of its services in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar. The expansion reflects the company’s confidence in Bahrain’s investment-friendly environment, advanced digital infrastructure, and supportive regulatory framework.
According to the company, the launch aligns with Keeta’s vision of delivering efficient and reliable services that enhance customer experience while supporting local restaurants through long-term strategic partnerships. These partnerships are aimed at improving operational efficiency and achieving sustainable growth for food and beverage businesses.
Keeta’s delivery operations are powered by advanced technology systems developed by Meituan. These systems analyse multiple factors, including traffic conditions, delivery distance, and order characteristics, to improve delivery time accuracy and service reliability. The platform also reinforces transparency and service quality through clear compensation mechanisms when delivery timelines are not met.
To mark its launch in Bahrain, Keeta introduced a series of promotional offers, including meal discounts and free delivery at selected partner restaurants. The company confirmed that these offers are available without subscriptions or additional fees, allowing users to experience the platform through a simple and transparent service model.
Keeta also announced significant investment in building a comprehensive local operational framework. This includes establishing a strong network of delivery riders, defined service standards, and a dedicated local support team, supported by a 24/7 customer service centre.
For restaurant partners, the platform offers an integrated support model covering onboarding, daily operations, and performance optimisation. This approach is supported by data-driven insights and continuous collaboration to enhance business outcomes.
At launch, Keeta’s platform features a mix of well-known local restaurants as well as regional and international food and beverage brands. This diverse offering reflects Bahrain’s vibrant food scene and reinforces Keeta’s commitment to supporting the sector and strengthening its contribution to the national economy.
