IMA promotion offers accounting and finance professionals a New Year career boost

IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the worlds leading associations representing the management accounting profession, today announced details of a promotion designed to give the Middle Easts accounting and finance professionals a 2015 career boost.

Until February 15, 2015, new members can get a bundle comprising a two-year IMA membership package and the Certified Management Accounting (CMA) exam entrance fee for a discounted price of US$240.

Since the CMAs inception in 1972, approximately 40,000 professionals have earned the certification by passing an exhaustive exam that evaluates expertise in the areas of financial planning, analysis, control, decision support and professional ethics. Designed to meet the needs of businesses, the CMA translates into significant career opportunities. According to IMAs 2014 Salary Survey, CMA holders in the UAE earn 50 percent more in salary and 31 percent more in total compensation than those without the certification.

Hanadi Khalife, IMA Middle East Director, said: "The IMA's New Year promotion bundle is aimed at giving finance and accounting professionals a head start in 2015 by making it more accessible than ever to enrol in the CMA program. The rigorous management accounting certification offers greater earning power to individuals while enhancing the ability of employers to meet the challenges of the new financial environment."

IMAs membership in the Middle East is at record levels, standing at over 11,900 as of June 30, 2014. There are more than 6,000 CMA candidates in the Middle East, spanning 13 countries.
