A Hot Pace in Italy, Sets by Team Abu Dhabis Al Qemzi

Team Abu Dhabis Rashed Al Qemzi provided more proof today that he has the UIM F2 World Championship under control as he set the early pace in the Grand Prix of Italy.

Al Qemzi, who has carried a noteworthy lead of 14-point over Dutchman Ferdinand Zandbergen into the third round of the series in Brindisi, was in prevailing form again during the Group A free practice session, setting fastest lap of34.5 secs.

With Swedens Daniel Segenmark second fastest in 35.44 ahead of Germanys Grand Prix of Norway winner, Stefan Hagin in 36.19, Team Abu Dhabis Rashed Al Tayer recorded the fifth fastest time of 36.60.

Al Qemzi, the 2017 F2 world champion and opening round winner in Lithuania, looked in perfect shape to seek a third consecutive pole position later in the day for tomorrows Grand Prix of Italy begins at 6.30pm local time.

The two Emirati drivers had gone through two days earlier in the week testing on Lake Maggiore in San Nazzaro, Italy under the direction or guidance of Team Abu Dhabi manager, Guido Cappellini.
