Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University commemorated the winning of its 'Smart Campus' effort at the 2015 Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards, a prestigious worldwide award that recognizes the world's best higher education innovations and ensures learning and employment. HBMSU's 'Smart Campus' bagged first place under the 'Regional Award Middle East' classification throughout an honorary event that just recently happened on the sidelines of the 2015 Reimagine Education Conference in Philadelphia, USA. The event saw the participation of 520 universities and educational institutions from 50 countries from around the world-- contending throughout 22 different classifications. The award was established in the structure of the partnership between the QS Organization for the classification of universities and the Wharton Center at the University of Pennsylvania to ensure innovative projects in higher education.

HBMSU's Smart Campus, which was amongst the 520 individual projects in the competition, was consulted with broad favorable reaction from leading decision-makers and representatives of instructional, scholastic and technical organizations and universities at the 2015 Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards event. It was applauded for its innovative method to efficiently take advantage of contemporary technology to enhance the level of smart knowing in the Arab World.
