HBMSU Board of Trustees reviews academic performance and strategic plan implementation

The Board of Trustees of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) held its regular meeting chaired by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to review the university’s latest academic performance developments and the progress of its Strategic Plan 2024–2026.

The meeting, attended by esteemed board members, discussed key topics including the University’s strategic directions, the annual report of the Board of Trustees, and updates on the implementation of previous resolutions. It also addressed development projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing HBMSU’s leadership in smart learning and strengthening its global competitiveness.

Academic calendar and graduates approved

The Board reviewed and approved the academic calendar for the 2024–2025 academic year, as well as the list of graduates, reaffirming HBMSU’s commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance in alignment with international standards.

Commitment to innovation and future-ready education

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer emphasized the Board’s dedication to supporting institutional development, improving academic and administrative efficiency, and aligning with the UAE’s national vision for innovation and future-oriented education.

“At HBMSU, we are committed to adopting the latest technologies and AI-driven learning models,” said Al Tayer. “Our goal is to ensure that educational outcomes align with the needs of the digital economy and future labour market, preparing graduates who can lead knowledge transformation and contribute effectively to an innovation-driven economy.”

Advancing smart learning and lifelong education

His Excellency Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, reaffirmed the university’s focus on continuous development of its academic ecosystem, highlighting its flexible and innovative learning models that respond to learner needs and market dynamics.

“HBMSU remains dedicated to promoting lifelong learning and aligning its programmes with emerging trends in digital education and artificial intelligence,” Dr. Al Awar said. “Our aim is to empower learners with future-ready skills and strengthen HBMSU’s role as a regional and international hub for smart education.”

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of HBMSU’s mission to provide innovative, technology-driven education that supports the UAE’s broader objectives for building a knowledge-based, sustainable economy.
