Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation concludes 3rd World Giftedness Center International Conference, calls for AI integration in gifted education

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has successfully concluded the 3rd World Giftedness Center International Conference, held under the theme “On Educating the Gifted in the Era of Prosperous Artificial Intelligence (AI)”. The four-day event gathered over 5,000 experts, researchers, and academics from 75 countries, reaffirming Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation in gifted education and talent development.

The conference served as a platform for leading specialists to exchange insights on the integration of AI technologies into education, focusing on fostering creativity, enhancing mental well-being, and strengthening global research collaborations in giftedness. The sessions explored how emerging technologies can transform teaching methodologies, create adaptive learning environments, and empower educators with tools that meet the needs of exceptional learners.

Experts emphasized that the future of gifted education lies in the synergy between technology, human intellect, and creativity. They called for continuous professional development for teachers and deeper collaboration between universities, research institutions, and giftedness centers to advance the quality and innovation of education worldwide.

In his closing remarks, His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, highlighted the importance of building dynamic educational systems capable of keeping pace with advances in artificial intelligence.

“The success of this conference demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to integrating scientific research with educational practice. We aim to develop innovative tools for gifted education and promote excellence regionally and globally,” he said.

His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, described the conference as a milestone in global collaboration for gifted education. He affirmed that the recommendations on AI integration would be implemented through future research programs under the World Giftedness Center (WGC).

“This marks a new phase of cooperation in gifted education. We will continue expanding partnerships with international institutions to exchange expertise and foster creativity,” Dr. Al Suwaidi added.

The World Giftedness Center, a flagship initiative of the Foundation, is dedicated to supporting best practices in gifted education, talent development, and educational excellence worldwide. Its programs, such as the International Award for School Initiatives in Gifted Education, recognize pioneering institutions that promote creativity and innovation from early education through pre-university levels.

As the conference concluded, participants underscored the importance of aligning technological progress with human potential, fostering inclusive and culturally diverse learning environments, and promoting sustainable innovation in education.

Delegates praised the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for its pivotal role in positioning the UAE as a global leader in gifted education research and for advancing initiatives that empower future generations to harness artificial intelligence for the greater good of humanity.
