Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Kuwait's first worldwide joint-venture in this market, sponsored the 14th Firemen's Day arranged by the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD).

EQUATE Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Leader Mohammad Al-Shamary stated, "This sponsorship represents an extension of the sustainable collaboration in between the Company and KFSD that has an important contribution to keeping the overall safety and security of the Kuwaiti society. This partnership has been embodied through numerous joint efforts, such as sharing knowledge, holding routine meetings and coordination in numerous fields. In addition, together we have launched safety projects to establish awareness about managing emergencies within and outside houses, the importance of fire extinguishers, the need of smoke alarm, safe usage of gas cylinders, safety in desert camps, calling 112 in case of emergency and other critical matters. In addition, KFSD and EQUATE personnel participated in joint international training courses in sophisticated industrial firefighting and hazmat to develop abilities and embracing worldwide finest practices to serve this nation and all its population, residents and expatriates alike.".
