Dubai, UAE; April 15, 2014: Lucky customers of ZOOM convenience stores operated by ENOC Retail on the Dubai Metro network now stand to win a daily prize of free commuting on the worlds largest driverless metro network for a year.

The new campaign, to be held until May 31, 2014, has already rewarded 10 lucky customers with their prize. The promotion follows the success of a similar one held in 2012, and aims to reach out to the increasing number of Dubai Metro commuters, estimated at over 138 million in 2013 compared to 110 million in 2012.

Dubai Metro users only have to spend AED 15 at the ZOOM convenience stores on the network to get a raffle coupon to win the lucky prize. They will receive two raffle coupons upon spending only AED 20.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, said: In tune with the growth of the Dubai Metro network, we are also expanding our ZOOM stores to offer a diverse range of convenient shopping choices for commuters.

The first campaign offering lucky customers free usage of Dubai Metro for a year was very well-received by our customers. We are now re-introducing the campaign to further strengthen awareness of ZOOM stores on Dubai Metro as well as to increase the usage of this public transport mode that is sustainable and cost-effective.

A consumer survey following the first campaign reported that 95 per cent of the respondents were impressed with the campaign and 75 per cent said they will take part in a similar promotion if conducted again.

The first ten winners are: Andy Juatco, Paul Celis, Edwin Ergina, Henry Reyes, Vergel Yamson, Nomar Pavon and Chuchie Mobo (Philippines), Shannel Gray (New Zealand), Shandil (India) and Ziad Bashir (Pakistan).

One of Dubais most preferred modes of public travel with over 500,000 commuters daily, Dubai Metro has served more than 375 million passengers since its launch in 2009. ENOC today operates 40 ZOOM stores across 49 Dubai Metro stations.
