The Emmys Live and Exclusively on OSN OSN shows scoop over 100 nominations

Most of the biggest television series, available exclusively on OSN, the regions leading pay-TV network, have scooped a record-breaking 100 nominations for the 66th edition of the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Comedians Mindy Kailing and talk show host Carson Daly revealed the nominations, while Seth Meyers, the former head writer of Saturday Night Live and the host of The Tonight Show with Seth Meyers, will host the star-studded event which will be aired live on 26th August 2014 on OSN First HD (12am KSA).

Game of Thrones which recently concluded its fourth season on OSN has the most nods - up for an amazing 19 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklages role as Tyrion Lannister.

American Horror Story: Coven has been acknowledged 17 times including for Outstanding Miniseries while Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett have all scored individual nods.

Breaking Bad fans were not disappointed as its final season received 16 nominations. These included Outstanding Drama Series and of course Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series nod for Bryan Cranstons unforgettable role.

The Outstanding Drama Series category will see Breaking Bad fight some tough contenders including OSNs highest rated shows Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, House Of Cards and True Detective which sees both Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson compete against each other for the outstanding lead actor trophy.

As far as OSN Comedy goes, Modern Family was nominated once again for Outstanding Comedy Series, which it has won for the past four years in a row. Julie Bowen was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and both Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are up for Best Supporting Actor. Other leading nominees include OSN shows Louie, Veep and Silicon Valley.

Another OSN favourite, Saturday Night Live received a whopping 14 nominations. This long-running show has now upped its lifetime record total to 185 nominations!
