Emirates Islamic launches Bring Happiness Campaign to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day

Emirates Islamic, among the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today introduced the 'Bring Happiness' initiative, a social media campaign that will link members of the community in need with those who can provide their support. The initiative has been introduced to coincide with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, and honor the memory of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. The late Sheikh Zayed passed away on the 19th of Ramadan and every year, this day is observed as Zayed Humanitarian Work Day in the UAE, in honor of the great work done by him, not only in the UAE, but for the global community.

Users who sign up on the Bring Happiness web app via Emirates Islamic's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter platforms are granted the opportunity to send their desires. Members of the community in the UAE can offer to provide assistance to satisfy these wishes, with the bank connecting the wish maker with the fulfiller. All submitted wishes will be evaluated by the bank and only appropriate wishes will be available for assistance.

Commenting on the Bring joy effort, Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Islamic, stated: "Every year, on the 19th day of Ramadan, we remember the countless humanitarian contributions of the late Sheikh Zayed (may Allah have mercy upon him). In his honor, we happily release the Bring Happiness campaign and establish a strong network of assistance that brings together the integrated resources of those who can help and supplying it to those who require it the most".

Considering that its launch in 2004, the bank has played an active role in supporting the community. It just recently released Emirates Islamic Charity Fund which intends to disburse more than AED 50 million in charitable contributions in 2016 under its primary pillars of food, shelter, health, education and social welfare.
