Emirates Islamic inducts latest batch of UAE Nationals

Emirates Islamic, among the leading Islamic banks in the UAE, revealed that 29 young Emiratis have successfully finished its in-house Al Mustaqbal and Uni Grad training programmes for UAE national school and university graduates.

The successful students got their graduation certifications from Hessa Al Mulla, Head of Human Resources, Emirates Islamic, at an event held at the bank's head office in Dubai. They will now use up tasks with the bank across various entry-level positions.

Discussing the induction of the new batch of students, Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Islamic, said: "In line with the Nationalisation drive initiated by the UAE's leadership, Emirates Islamic has been a leading contributor to the career development of Emiratis and we are proud to welcome a new batch of competent and passionate graduates on board.

"Our training programs are not only focused on attracting young Emiratis to the UAE banking industry, but also at empowering them to reach their complete capacity and add to the growth of Islamic financing in the nation," he added.

Hessa Al Mulla even more commented: "At Emirates Islamic, we introduced two internal training programmes in 2013, in coordination with the Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies (EIBFS). These programmes are an essential part of our talent advancement strategy to train Emirati youth and prepare them to end up being future banking leaders. Moving forward, we will continue to progress our training programmes, supplying more chances and profession choices for appealing candidates.".

Al Mustaqbal, a six-month program for school graduates as much as the age of 20, includes both class room and on-job training, with successful trainees then being deployed completely across different divisions of Emirates Islamic.

The bank also provides Uni Grad, a training programme for Emirati college students interested in a banking profession. Open to UAE National university graduates approximately the age of 27, the 12-month course is a fast-track profession development initiative.

An overall of seven batches of UAE nationwide school graduates have finished training under the Al Mustaqbal program, and 8 under Uni Grad.
