Dubai Customs to Showcase Latest Smart Services and Technological Breakthroughs at GITEX 2014

Dubai, 27 September 2014:
Dubai Customs is fully geared upfor GITEX 2014, and ready with a package ofhigh-tech services to showcase at the exhibition that will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center from October 12thto 16th.
Dubai Customs has never failed to participate and to share its own technological setups and client service breakthroughs amongst the exhibitors under the umbrella of Dubai e-Government during the past years. In this years edition, Dubai Customs presents three stations for visitors across the Smart Government pavilion. Dubai Customs is always keen on mining for the latest and best technological practices in line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubais directives towards the attainment of clients happiness and in transforming Dubai into the worlds smartest city.

Being the first fully-fledged smart government department, Dubai Customs is showcasing its smart watch services at GITEX 2014. Dubai Customs smart watch site is compatible with all screen sizes. The interface features windows that provide direct access to the desired services, which include: applicationstatus inquiry service; customs declaration status inquiry, inspection request inquiry, refund application status inquiry and registration application status inquiry.

Dubai Customs will be announcing the launch of new services via smart channels. The Departments participation at GITEX 2014 comes in line with its strategy aiming at the effective participation in all events for the purpose of boosting direct interaction with clients and acquainting with them with latest innovations and services. Moreover, Dubai Customs seeks to get a closer perspective and a grasp upon the latest technologies and best practices that may be of future use at the Customs.
