Launched in the presence of key cultural personalities from the UAE, many of whom contributed their stories of Dubai to the guide itself, the unveiling of the Soul of Dubai Guide follows the announcement at the Arabian Travel Market 2014. With only a limited number of copies having been distributed, the guide received overwhelming response from residents, businesses, and tour operators, among others.

Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said: The Soul of Dubai Guide will make a sterling new addition to Dubais literary heritage, but this time narrating the story of our city through the eyes of its people. The guide will be the definitive referral source on Dubais historical, cultural, and creative experiences.

Presenting the peoples view to what visitors and residents should experience during their tour of the city, the first version of the guide also celebrates the expansion of Dubai Cultures Soul of Dubai, a path-breaking initiative aimed at showcasing the dynamic growth of the city as well as its cultural diversity, its roots and heritage, as seen through the eyes of its community, through various disciplines of art. Having started out with film, Soul of Dubai steps into the realm of literature, culture, and visual arts, among others, with the Soul of Dubai Guide.

Designed to provide visitors with the perfect juxtaposition between Old and New Dubai, the guide reveals many of the citys renowned gems from local eateries, heritage sites, quaint boutiques and organic markets, to picturesque parks and beaches.
