Dubai Culture Launches Strategic Innovation Lab to Shape 2026–2033 Vision for Creative Industries

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has launched a strategic innovation lab at Al Safa Art and Design Library, marking the first step in crafting its 2026–2033 Strategy to strengthen the emirate’s cultural and creative industries (CCIs). Held under the theme "From Vision to Impact", the initiative highlights Dubai Culture’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and future-readiness as the cornerstones of its long-term planning.

The lab engaged a wide spectrum of participants from government entities, the private and academic sectors, Dubai Culture employees, and the creative community, reflecting the Authority’s inclusive and participatory approach. This collaborative process aims to ensure that the forthcoming strategy reflects shared ownership and delivers tangible cultural impact.

The session featured a visionary outlook toward Dubai in the year 2071, setting the tone for long-term cultural transformation aligned with national aspirations. Participants examined emerging local, regional, and global trends in CCIs, identified key challenges, and explored how Dubai’s cultural vision can evolve to enhance the city's global competitiveness and contribution to a knowledge-based economy.

Innovation was positioned as a strategic enabler, with attendees leveraging foresight methodologies and innovation tools to identify priorities and propose initiatives that will shape the Authority’s focus over the next eight years. These outcomes will inform a data-driven and actionable 2026–2033 Strategy, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of Dubai’s cultural landscape while advancing the emirate’s status as a global cultural hub.

Dubai Culture’s innovation lab is the first in a series of strategic engagements planned to guide the Authority’s future roadmap, reinforcing its role as a driver of sustainable cultural development and creative excellence in the region.
