DEWA Opens Applications for Participation in 27th Edition of WETEX

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has officially begun accepting applications from local and international companies wishing to participate in the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). The premier event will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

WETEX, organised by DEWA under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, is recognised as the largest trade fair in the region for the energy, water, sustainability, and environmental sectors.

The exhibition plays a key role in supporting the UAE’s vision for green growth and sustainability. It brings together stakeholders from across industries including green mobility, smart cities, clean energy, water technologies, digital transformation, cybersecurity, sustainable construction, and net-zero housing.

The 26th edition of WETEX, held in 2024, welcomed over 2,800 exhibitors from 65 countries and attracted more than 50,000 visitors. The event also featured 21 international pavilions, showcasing the diversity and global reach of the exhibition. Participating companies ranged from power generation and distribution firms, including those specialising in renewable energy, to innovators in water and environmental technologies.

Among the notable segments at WETEX 2024 was the Green Mobility Hall, which hosted major players in sustainable transportation and logistics. The exhibition also included a dedicated health and safety technology hub and provided a platform for international forums to explore partnerships and market expansion.

In addition, DEWA hosted the Future Energy Landscape Forum during the event, which convened government officials, industry leaders, researchers, and investors to deliberate on sustainable oil and gas practices. A variety of workshops and panel discussions also took place, highlighting Dubai’s business-friendly environment and the advantages for companies establishing regional headquarters in the Emirate.

As DEWA prepares for another impactful edition of WETEX in 2025, the call for participation is expected to attract a diverse array of exhibitors eager to explore opportunities in Dubai's ever-expanding green economy.
