DEEPAL, the intelligent electric mobility brand under Changan Automobile, has expanded its footprint in the Middle East and Africa with the UAE launch of the DEEPAL G318. The new model was unveiled on 18 November at Nara Oasis in Dubai, following the regional success of the DEEPAL S05 and S07. The launch strengthens the brand’s collaboration with its exclusive UAE importer-distributor, Al Tayer Motors.

The DEEPAL G318 introduces a new generation of Super Hybrid technology, combining high efficiency with a bold, rugged design tailored for both city roads and off-road environments. Engineered for versatility, the SUV is built to deliver comfort for daily driving while offering the capability required for long-distance and multi-terrain adventures.

The model is now available in the UAE starting at AED 129,900, supported by a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 150,000 km battery warranty. Customers can explore and purchase DEEPAL vehicles through the Al Tayer Motors website, mobile app, or by contacting 800 MOTORS.

Design and Interior

The G318 features DEEPAL’s “Meteorolite Cutting” exterior design, inspired by sharp, sculptural natural forms. Its aerodynamic surfaces and muscular proportions complement a high-tech interior defined by a large central screen, ergonomic enhancements, ambient lighting, soft-touch materials, and improved noise insulation.

Hybrid Power and Off-Road Capability

Equipped with DEEPAL’s Super-Hybrid system, the dual-motor 4WD SUV delivers EV-like acceleration, reaching 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. It achieves a fuel-to-electric conversion rate of up to 3.63 kWh per litre.
The Magic-Carpet Suspension integrates CDC adaptive damping, air suspension and terrain-scanning for enhanced stability, while the ET Intelligent All-Terrain System calibrates engine, suspension and differential settings in real time for simplified off-road performance.

Safety and Intelligent Features

The G318 includes eight airbags, IACC (Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control), Blind Spot Detection, Rear Side Warning, Lane Change Assist and a 540° panoramic imaging system.
Its Smart Cockpit supports bilingual voice control (English and Arabic), remote mobile access, online navigation, a DEEPAL Sound System, and full-vehicle sound-insulating glass.

Aligned with Changan’s global sustainability objectives, the G318 is equipped with the Golden Shield Battery, recognized for its reliability and zero spontaneous combustion incidents across more than 400,000 units. The hybrid system maximizes range while reducing fuel consumption, offering environmentally responsible performance without compromising versatility.
