GetSwift Limited (ASX: GSW), a leading provider of SaaS logistics technology, is glad to support the State of Florida with a crisis-response program organized to assist in daily meal delivery during the coronavirus crisis.
Commenced on Monday, April 13, GetSwift will offer order management, delivery and routing support to further reach senior Floridians and others in want that rely on daily meal service. GetSwift will partner with Feed The Need of Florida and Meals of Love, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) and restaurant partners such as the 4R Restaurant Group, operator of 4 Rivers Smokehouse restaurants which will offer fresh-cooked meals seven days a week.
“We are dignified to be working with the State of Florida, Meals of Love, Feed the Need of Florida and 4R Restaurant Group on such an essential initiative to reach vulnerable Floridians in this excellent time of need. We are looking ahead to assisting all of other States that are in the process of enforcing further measures. This is the time to stand together as we meet one of the biggest challenges we face as a nation” stated Bane Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of GetSwift.
GetSwift, located in New York City, offers delivery logistics and staff management services to clients throughout the United States and across the world. Similarly to restaurants, GetSwift serves companies around industries ranging from billiard table manufacturers to propane-tank services to government infrastructure services.
The emergency service will reach up to all 67 counties in Florida. The whole value of the agreement cannot be decisive due the unpredictability of the total number of meals that will be delivered on a daily basis.
4 Rivers Smokehouse destinations along with other Florida restaurants will recompose its food production facilities to produce daily meals in an affordable manner.
“Our whole team looks ahead to working with Florida restaurants to meet the challenge and opportunity to deliver nutritious meals to our fellow Floridians,” stated Skip Kimpel, Chief Information Officer at 4R Restaurant Group. “This ambitious venture would not be possible without the technology GetSwift will offer to regulate orders, schedule drivers, and offer logistics to make sure timely, accurate deliveries.”
4 Rivers is involved as part of its participation in Feed The Need, a program started out of 4Roots, a nonprofit whose aim is to create a better food future in Central Florida.
