Cognita Middle East signs MoU with ROSHN Group to develop new world-class schools in Saudi Arabia

Cognita Middle East, the regional hub of the global Cognita schools group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ROSHN Group, the Public Investment Fund–backed real estate developer, to establish a series of world-class educational facilities across Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was formalised during Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh and reflects ROSHN Group’s ongoing commitment to diversifying its portfolio while strengthening its long-term growth strategy across key development sectors.

Under the MoU, both organisations intend to collaborate on developing Build-to-Suit Private Schools that will be operated by Cognita Middle East. The initiative aims to support Saudi Arabia’s broader ambition to enhance access to exceptional learning environments, attract international education providers, and deliver innovative schooling options for families across the Kingdom.

David Baldwin, CEO of Cognita Middle East, described the partnership as a natural alignment of shared values.
“We are delighted to collaborate with ROSHN Group on this exciting project. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and community development makes this an ideal partnership,” he said. “Together, we aim to broaden access to high-quality education and deliver an outstanding educational experience that empowers students to reach their full potential and prepares them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”

Cognita, one of the world’s leading school networks, operates more than 100 schools across 21 countries, serving over 100,000 students and supported by more than 21,000 staff. In the Middle East, Cognita runs 14 schools, including Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai, Repton Family of Schools, and Kings College Riyadh.
