Chrysalis International Academy breaks ground in Dubailand, redefining British curriculum education in Dubai
Nalapad Investments and MVK Holdings have officially broken ground on Chrysalis International Academy, their third educational venture in the UAE. The new British curriculum school, set to open in September 2027, aims to set new benchmarks in innovation, well-being, and educational excellence while supporting the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) mission to make Dubai a global hub for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
Located in Liwan, Dubailand, Chrysalis International Academy will cater to the growing demand for high-quality education among families in emerging residential communities across Dubailand and its surrounding areas. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulla Khalifa Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group, alongside senior government officials, education leaders, investors, and community representatives.
Mr. Abdulla Nalapad Ahmed, Managing Director of Nalapad Investments and Chairman of Credence High School, emphasized that Chrysalis is designed to empower students to excel academically while nurturing confidence, compassion, and global citizenship.
“We are building more than a school — we are nurturing the next generation of critical thinkers, innovators, and ethical leaders who will shape the world,” he said.
Mr. Nalapad added that the project reflects a continued commitment to KHDA’s vision and thanked the Authority for its guidance and support.
Mr. Sameer K. Mohamed, Managing Director of MVK Holdings and Governor of Credence High School, highlighted the academy’s holistic approach.
“Families today seek more than strong academics; they want schools where children feel valued, inspired, and happy,” he noted. “Chrysalis combines British educational excellence with innovative design, creating an environment where students thrive emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.”
The project aligns with KHDA’s Education 33 vision, which seeks to position Dubai as a global leader in innovation-driven education. Chrysalis International Academy integrates sustainability, emotional well-being, and inclusivity across its design and curriculum.
The campus will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a raised football and cricket ground, padel courts, indoor sports facilities, temperature-controlled swimming pools, and professional cricket nets. Other highlights include an auditorium, innovation hubs, STEAM labs, art and music studios, and design and technology workshops. Every classroom will feature natural light and modern interactive technology, complemented by a digital resource center, inclusive learning zones, and landscaped outdoor classrooms.
Academically, Chrysalis will follow the National Curriculum for England, enriched with STEAM education, Arabic and Islamic Studies, and progression to IGCSE and A-Levels. Highly qualified UK educators will lead the academic programs, supported by strong parent-school partnerships.
“Chrysalis is our commitment to Dubai’s future,” concluded Mr. Nalapad. “It embodies excellence, inclusion, and innovation — values that reflect the very spirit of Dubai.”
When completed, Chrysalis International Academy will offer a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment, preparing students to become well-rounded global citizens equipped for the challenges of tomorrow.
