Canon Middle East & Canon Emirates celebrate Earth Hour 2015

Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 30 March 2015 Canon Middle East (CME), a leader in imaging solutions, and Canon Emirates, in conjunction with TECOM, organized a community event at Canon Officein Dubai Internet City to observe Earth Hour 2015, encouraging partners and customers to conserve electricity usage by taking part in the global initiative and switching off lights for one hour.
Canon supports conservation efforts at a local and international level in line with its commitment to be a socially responsible and environmentally conscious company.

Canons Earth Hour event featured a fun-filled evening of family activities themed around protecting the planet for future generations. Children enjoyed quizzes and environmental games before lighting the candles at 8.30PM.

In recognition of Canons CSR commitment the organisation received the Dubai Chamber CSR Label in 2014 for the third consecutive year and was recertified to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard. Honouring Canons regional CSR efforts in 2014, The Arab Organization for Social Responsibility awarded Canon Middle East for Best Environmental Practices in the Arab World.
