Brazilian goods worth USD 11.5 billion exported to Arab World in 2018

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 09 February 2019: The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) revealed that Brazil exported goods worth USD 11.48 billion to the Arab World in 2018, which is indicative of its robust trade relations with the region. Brazilian exports to the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait were recorded at USD 2 billion, USD 2.13 billion, USD 2.1 billion, and USD 227 million respectively.

The total volume of Brazilian exports amounted to 43 billion kgs, with Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait accounting for 8 billion kgs, 4 billion kgs, 4 billion kgs and 226 million kgs respectively.

Iron ores and concentrates including roasted iron pyrites; maize; meat of bovine animals; artificial Corundum, aluminum oxide and aluminum hydroxide; cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose in solid form; meat and edible offal of both fresh and frozen poultry; and motor cars and other passenger transport vehicles are among the most exported Brazilian items to Arab countries in 2018.

Rubens Hannun, President, Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: The trade figures for the year 2018 once again reflect healthy trade relations shared by Brazil and the Arab World. With more and more Brazilian companies looking to diversify and explore global markets, coupled with the regions strong demand for our products, these figures are set to go up further in 2019.
