Baalbaki Chemical Industries (BCI Holding S.A.) successfully expands in the UAE

To enhance its position as the leading polyurethane systems, polyester polyol, and specialty adhesives supplier in the Middle East, Baalbaki Chemical Industries (BCI) today announced the launch of its new polyesters and pre-polymers making facility in the Hamriyah Free Zone, in the UAE. Through this new plant, the company intends to increase the production capability of polyester polyols as well as specialized polyurethane systems and food packaging adhesives. This will make it possible for BCI to serve GCC area; the Indian sub-continent and the South East Asian markets effectively.

Commenting on the expansion at the opening event, Hassane Baalbaki, the chairman of BCI Holding S.A. described, "We want to remain to broaden our reach in the EMEA area with further financial investments in system homes as well as circulation and technical service centres. We intend to additional broaden our regional foot print by adding added locations to the existing network of system homes in UAE and Egypt, distribution and TS centres in Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Algeria, and Nigeria and representative workplaces in Shanghai and Beirut. Proximity to markets and client intimacy stay an essential part of our strategy".
In April 2015, BCI revealed that its new polyesters and pre-polymers manufacturing facility in the UAE was totally operational. This brand-new center includes 40,000 Mt of aromatic/aliphatic polyester polyols and isocayanate pre-polymer capability to BCI's already installed capacities in Egypt.

The new manufacturing center lies on a 30,000 m2 industrial commercial property in Hamriyah Free Zone with more than 15,000 m2 of covered area. BCI said this development marks a substantial step in the group's ability to serve its growing customers in the GCC, Pakistan, Iran, India and south east Asia with rigid, cold cure, footwear PU systems, fragrant and aliphatic polyester polyols in addition to speciality adhesives for the flexible product packaging market.
