ARGENTINE STAR MOVES WITHIN REACH OF HER BIGGEST CAREER WIN IN ABU DHABI

Argentina's Eugenia De Armas moved inside reach of the greatest success of her carrier in the 2019 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships today as the sports leading athletes set the stage for an exciting stupendous finale in Abu Dhabi.

With De Armas landing the top score to advance from the Open Women's semi-finals, the greatest surprise was the disappointment of Australian leading qualifier Zahra Kell to arrive at the Saturday afternoon final after falling twice in her heat.

In any case, there was no halting 19-year-old Italian twins Alice and Chiara Virag who both experienced from a similar warmth to join De Armas, Japan's Hinata Yoshihara, American Tara Mikacich and the Netherlands' Sanne Meijer.

Among the first to salute the Virag sisters was Italian powerboat racing legend Guido Cappellini, Manager of F1H2O title holders Team Abu Dhabi and previous ten-times world champion driver, who was among the onlookers.

De Armas stated: "Making it to the final here is for me the greatest thing I've at any point done. I'm so energized and happy about it. The most ideal path for me to win will be to proceed to do the things I know, and have a fabulous time. I'm going to hazard it somewhat more tomorrow toward the finish of the second pass."

Meijer, winner at the ongoing ANOC Worlds Beach Games, announced toward the beginning of the week that she would require a miracle to secure another gold medal in Abu Dhabi.

"I truly expected Zahra (Kell) to be in the final and by one way or another she didn't make it, so entryways are opening," she said. "For the last, I need to change some stuff, but I don't know whether I'm confident enough. All the girls are great and we're very close to each to one another. It just relies upon who endures."
