Ai Everything MEA 2026 Debuts in Egypt, Signaling Regional AI Leadership

Cairo set to welcome global AI leaders, enterprises, and experts at the inaugural Ai Everything Middle East & Africa, from 10–12 February 2026, organised by GITEX GLOBAL

Egypt is fast-tracking its role as a continental leader in artificial intelligence, backed by a bold National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (2025–2030) that embeds AI across priority sectors. Ranked among the world’s top 10 countries in AI and Machine Learning — and the only African nation in that tier according to the 2024 GBS World Competitiveness Index — Egypt is now taking a decisive step to showcase its ambitions on a global stage.

From 10–12 February 2026, Cairo will host the first-ever Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA), organised by GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest tech, AI, and startup event network. Positioned as the MEA region’s most empowering AI tech week, the event will convene leading enterprises, startups, policymakers, and innovators from more than 60 countries.

Hosted by MCIT in strategic partnership with ITIDA, Ai Everything MEA will spotlight transformative AI use cases across Egypt’s priority sectors: outsourcing and shared services, semiconductor design, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, digital health, fintech, education, manufacturing, energy, and digital public services.

Egypt’s AI Ambitions: Driving Regional and Global Transformation

“Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the architecture of global competitiveness, and Egypt is determined to not only adapt to this shift — but to shape it,” said Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. “Our National AI Strategy reflects a bold vision: to position Egypt as a leading force in responsible AI adoption, policy innovation, and inclusive digital development. Ai Everything Middle East & Africa offers a timely platform to align global expertise with national priorities — and accelerate meaningful deployment of AI across sectors that matter most to our citizens.”

Eng. Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, added: “The launch of Ai Everything MEA marks a strategic milestone in positioning Egypt as a regional AI hub. Hosting this global summit in Cairo reinforces our ambition to be at the heart of the global tech conversation — attracting deep-tech investment, empowering local startups, and scaling innovations from our region to the world.”

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre and organiser of GITEX, said: “AI has levelled the digital playing field, opening new opportunities for nations to redefine their futures. Egypt is harnessing this phenomenon to regenerate its economy and uplift society. Ai Everything MEA will be a force multiplier to drive Egypt’s AI mission at scale.”

Global Participation, Local Impact

The event will open with a high-level AI summit and feature a two-day immersive exhibition designed to accelerate collaborative R&D, cross-border investment, and startup growth. Leading global tech players including Atos, Cyshield, HPE, and IBM, will showcase AI applications shaping industries worldwide.

In addition, more than 200 venture capitalists from the GITEX investor network, managing over US$1 trillion in assets, are expected to explore opportunities in Egyptian and regional startups. The event will also launch one of the region’s largest youth-tech academies, channeling Egypt’s annual pool of 750,000+ graduates into AI innovation, pilot projects, and mentorship initiatives.

By hosting AI Everything MEA 2026, Egypt cements its role as a regional nexus for AI collaboration, bridging global expertise with national priorities to fast-track AI deployment and accelerate digital economy growth.
