ADNIC and Sheikh Zayed Housing Program Partner to Launch Life Insurance Scheme for UAE Nationals

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), a leading regional multi-line insurance provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program (SZHP) to introduce a dedicated life insurance scheme aimed at supporting eligible UAE Nationals.

The collaboration was officially announced during a signing ceremony held in Dubai, marking the formal launch of the initiative. Under this partnership, ADNIC will spearhead the administration of the life insurance scheme, working in conjunction with other major insurance providers in the UAE affiliated with the program.

One of the standout features of the initiative is its extended life insurance coverage, which now offers protection up to the age of 95—well beyond the market standard of 70 years. This advancement will allow Emiratis up to the age of 70 to qualify for housing loans with repayment periods of up to 25 years. The move is seen as a significant step toward enhancing financial inclusion and offering broader access to long-term housing finance, particularly for older borrowers.

The housing loans provided under the SZHP are disbursed through a network of leading UAE banks that have supported the program since its inception.

Commenting on the development, Charalampos Mylonas, CEO of ADNIC, stated:

“As an insurer working at the very heart of the community, we understand why life insurance is so important—it guarantees families a measure of protection against adverse financial consequences. We are proud to collaborate with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program to offer individuals a stronger sense of economic security and peace of mind. At ADNIC, we remain committed to making insurance truly about people by safeguarding their income, assets, health, and lives.”

Though the life insurance program is already operational through participating banks, the recent ceremony served as its official public unveiling. The partnership underscores ADNIC’s ongoing dedication to developing solutions aligned with national priorities and evolving citizen needs.
