GCC residential smart security market set to advance as ScreenCheck partners with BAS-IP
ScreenCheck, a subsidiary of Centena Group and a regional provider of end-to-end identification and security solutions, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with global security technologies company BAS-IP to expand into the GCC’s residential smart security market.
The agreement, signed during Intersec 2026, supports ScreenCheck’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing smart security and digital transformation sector. The global smart security market is projected to reach USD 907.12 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 25.7 per cent between 2025 and 2032. Growth is being driven by large-scale urban development, increased smart infrastructure investment and rising demand for connected security solutions in residential communities.
Under the partnership, ScreenCheck and BAS-IP will deliver integrated, IP-based audio and video intercom systems alongside advanced access control solutions tailored for apartments, gated communities and large-scale residential developments across the GCC.
Olga Shamilova, Chief Executive Officer of BAS-IP, said the partnership will support ScreenCheck’s entry into the residential security segment. She noted that BAS-IP’s Open API solutions attracted strong interest at Intersec 2026 due to their ability to create customised, seamlessly integrated security ecosystems compatible with existing building management systems. She also highlighted the demand for BAS-IP’s mobile-first application, which is designed for both large multi-apartment projects and high-end private villas.
Faisal Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of ScreenCheck, said the collaboration comes at a time when digital infrastructure and security are becoming increasingly intertwined in daily life. He added that the Middle East’s rapidly expanding property market presents significant opportunities for integrated residential security and home automation solutions.
Through the partnership, ScreenCheck plans to distribute advanced technologies including biometric identification, RFID solutions, AI-powered surveillance and next-generation smart access control systems for residential properties, critical infrastructure and technology-driven enterprises.
The collaboration positions ScreenCheck to play a key role in the region’s transition towards intelligent, connected residential security ecosystems, supporting broader smart city ambitions and the evolving urban landscape across the GCC.
