7X and UAEV Partner to Accelerate UAE’s Transition to Sustainable Mobility
On the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025, 7X, a leading trade, transport, and logistics holding group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emarat EV Charging Stations Company PJSC (UAEV) — the UAE’s first government-owned electric vehicle (EV) charging network — to advance sustainable mobility infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the Emirates.
The agreement outlines a collaborative framework to plan, deploy, operate, and promote EV charging infrastructure nationwide. It supports the UAE’s strategic sustainability goals by fostering the transition to environmentally friendly fleets and integrating digital innovation through “Wayn,” the UAE’s secure digital P.O. Box system that enhances customer communication and service delivery efficiency.
Under the MoU, 7X will leverage its National Network for Logistics (NXN) and logistics arm EMX to support UAEV in expanding the EV charging ecosystem. The partnership will capitalize on 7X’s extensive network of logistics centers and service branches across all emirates to establish integrated charging hubs that streamline last-mile operations, reduce emissions, and strengthen the UAE’s EV infrastructure.
Beyond charging network expansion, the collaboration aims to introduce smart mobility solutions and parcel locker integration at charging stations, enhancing customer convenience and promoting nationwide accessibility to sustainable transport options.
Commenting on the partnership, Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, said:
“This partnership reflects our commitment to advancing the UAE’s transition to a sustainable, low-emission economy while reinforcing its global position in trade, transport, and logistics. The shift to environmentally friendly fleets and the adoption of electric mobility solutions form the cornerstone of our long-term strategy to improve operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and contribute to a globally competitive green economy. Through this collaboration, we aim to establish a distinguished Emirati model that integrates innovation with sustainability, in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision and the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative.”
Ali Al Darwish, CEO of UAEV, added:
“Our collaboration with 7X represents another significant milestone in UAEV’s mission to accelerate the UAE’s shift toward sustainable mobility. By integrating advanced charging infrastructure within 7X’s national network, we are expanding accessibility for both private EV drivers and commercial fleets. This partnership reinforces our shared contribution to the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 vision and demonstrates our commitment to building a cleaner, smarter, and more connected future.”
The collaboration highlights both organizations’ shared dedication to advancing the UAE’s clean energy agenda and strengthening its role as a global leader in sustainable development. It is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and create added value for the national economy, while empowering communities and businesses with access to state-of-the-art EV charging solutions.
