Sheikh Hamdan forms Dubai civility committee to make emirate ‘best and most beautiful’ city
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, has announced the formation of a new “Civility Committee.” The initiative aims to position Dubai as “the best, the most beautiful, the most refined, and the most civilised city in the world.”
The committee will be chaired by Mohammed Al Gergawi, with Mattar Al Tayer appointed as Deputy Chair. Other members include Abdulla Al Basti, Omar Al Olama, Abdullah Al Marri, Helal Al Marri, and Marwan bin Ghalita.
Strengthening Dubai’s global standing
The new committee reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing urban excellence, quality of life, and social values while continuing to set international benchmarks in governance and innovation.
With the leadership’s vision, the committee will focus on projects and policies that reinforce Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for culture, innovation, and sustainable development.
