Global Village Closed for Third Day Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Global Village announced that it will remain closed on Tuesday, March 3, as a precautionary safety measure amid escalating regional tensions. The popular outdoor attraction was also closed on March 1 and 2, following official guidance prioritizing public safety.

In a statement, Global Village management confirmed that the closure aligns with directives issued by authorities and urged visitors to monitor its official website and social media channels for reopening updates.

National Precautionary Measures in Effect

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced the implementation of an advanced action plan to manage the ongoing crisis, reaffirming that all response systems remain fully operational. The authority continues to assess developments in real time to ensure the safety and stability of the community.

In a related statement, the Ministry of Defence (UAE) reported that its air defence systems successfully intercepted multiple Iranian ballistic missiles, emphasizing that the UAE Armed Forces remain on full alert to safeguard national security.

Broader Impact Across Sectors

Air travel across the region remains disrupted, though some UAE airlines have resumed limited flight operations under close supervision by aviation and security authorities.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education (UAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (UAE) confirmed that remote learning will continue across all schools and universities until Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) also advised private sector establishments to implement remote work arrangements wherever possible, minimizing on-site presence except for essential roles requiring physical attendance.

Ensuring Public Safety

Authorities have reiterated that all measures are precautionary and part of the UAE’s proactive approach to crisis management. The coordinated response underscores the country’s commitment to maintaining safety, stability, and operational continuity across critical sectors.

Global Village management expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation, assuring that visitor safety remains its top priority.
