Campbell Gray appointed as CEO by Atkins for the Middle East and Africa

Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, is delighted to announce that Campbell Gray has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Middle East and Africa, effective from August 2021, leading the business’s end-to-end advisory, design and engineering and project management services under the Atkins, Faithful Gould and Atkins Acuity brands. Cris Dedigama who will be moving to another role in the Company is being replace by Campbell.

Steve Morriss, President, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America, SNC-Lavalin said “Atkins has been an integral part of the Middle East’s transformation for more than 50 years, acting as trusted advisors and delivering some of the most iconic infrastructure projects that have helped communities and shaped the landscape,”. “With his deep knowledge of the business and the region, and his proven track record in building long-lasting client relationships, Campbell will lead the business in bringing integrated services underpinned by digital technologies and innovative solutions to the markets we serve.” he added.

Campbell is a well accomplished executive in leading both businesses and projects. His capability to drive growth and deliver operational excellence, gained during his 24-year long career with Faithful+Gould and Atkins in the Middle East & Africa, the UK and Asia Pacific, will be progressive for the business well for the future. In 2019, Campbell went to Currie & Brown and is now returning to Atkins, member of the SNC-Lavalin Group.

The company is re-structuring the way it delivers projects, using new digital technologies and tools. Digital means providing a data-rich design environment that assists greater collaboration, enables ‘delivery fit’ designs to saves cost and time, a program management office that leads the way, and operation-ready digital twins that can establish asset behavior in real time. In addition, to drive strategic initiatives and planning focused on enhancing wellbeing and quality of life and developing housing programs that meet the needs of the growing population, the business is collaborating with key stakeholders across the Middle East region.

Atkins along with SNC-Lavalin, a globally integrated professional services and project management company, helps clients plan, design and enable major infrastructure projects, and provides expert consultancy that covers the full project lifecycle. The company has a documentation of delivering and supporting flagship projects in the Middle East such as the Dubai Metro, Burj Al Arab, Dubai International Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Financial District, Diriyah Gate, and Six Flags Qiddiya theme park.

The company’s overall business advisory, design and engineering and project management services also includes brands and offerings of Atkins Acuity and Faithful+Gould. Atkins Acuity integrates management consulting, financing and technical capabilities to help clients solve complex front-end problems in the built environment. Faithful+Gould provides integrated project and program management consultancy, independently or alongside Atkins.
