Western Union and du sign a collaboration agreement to bring benefits to the working community of UAE

The Western Union Company, a leader in global payment services, today signed a contract with du, a leading telecom provider in the UAE. The agreement aims to pursue collaborations to benefit customers.

The contract was signed by Osman Sultan, CEO, du, and Jean-Claude Farah, Executive Vice President and President, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe and CIS, Western Union, at an event held in Dubai on July 27, 2016.

The arrangement will benefit users of Western Union and du in the UAE, through joint efforts that will leverage Western Union's market leadership and strong relationships with various communities, in addition to du's position as the telecom provider of choice. Both Western Union and du entered into this relationship to provide relevant and interesting proposals to customers, and offering them value-added services, while bearing in mind their need to be connected with their loved ones-- often by sending out cash back house and recalling home.

Western Union and du revealed the launch of the My WUSM du commitment card, the first effort to be presented under the agreement developed by the two companies.
