Emirates Islamic contributes AED 500,000 to Dar Al Ber Society

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced an AED 500,000 contribution from its Zakat Fund to Dar El Ber Society, as part of its commitment to support the Society's special committee that supports underprivileged families and individuals.

In 2016, the bank has up until now distributed more than AED30 million to different charitable causes. Emirates Islamic has disbursed funds to medical and rehab equipment to government and privately run institutions including Ministry of Health, Ajman Club for handicapped and Al Ihsan Medical Complex. The bank has also helped with charitable aid to Sharjah Authorities, Ajman Authorities and Ras Al Khaimah Cops to enhance jail facilities, upgrade the jails' pharmaceutical and medical equipment and assist support detainees to settle their diyya (financial compensation for victims' families).
