Ajman Tourism Organizes the Festival of Folklore Strings in Celebration of International Dance Day

The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has announced the eagerly anticipated Festival of Folklore Strings, scheduled to take place at the Ajman Cultural Center on Saturday, April 27, 2024. In collaboration with Ideaspeak, this vibrant event coincides with International Dance Day, symbolizing the universal language of dance and its role in bridging cultures and communities.

His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized the significance of dance in preserving cultural heritage and fostering cross-cultural dialogue. He stated, "Dance transcends borders, preserving cultural heritage and connecting communities. The Festival of Folklore Strings reflects our commitment to showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Ajman and fostering cross-cultural dialogue through artistic expression."

The Festival of Folklore Strings promises a captivating 90-minute spectacle, featuring 18 performances that delve into diverse folkloric traditions from around the globe. With a total of 70 performers aged between 10 and 10 years old, the event will showcase a variety of dance styles from countries including Russia, Greece, Argentina, Georgia, Austria, Spain, Ukraine, India, Moldova, Hungary, and Armenia. The visual spectacle will be enhanced by approximately 400 pieces of costumes and accessories, promising to take audiences on a captivating journey through the world's rich folklore traditions.

Beyond its artistic excellence, the Festival of Folklore Strings serves as a testament to the power of cultural exchange. Through events like these, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development aims to foster understanding and unity, transcending differences and creating lasting community connections. The show will be open to the public on April 27, 2024, at 5 PM at the Ajman Cultural Center, offering audiences a unique opportunity to embark on a captivating journey through the world's rich folklore traditions.
