Zscaler Expands Data Center Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia to Boost Cloud Security and Digital Transformation

Zscaler Inc., a global leader in cloud security, has announced a strategic expansion of its public data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its commitment to the region’s growing digital economy. This development enhances the availability of Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and supports the rising demand for scalable, secure cloud solutions that comply with local data sovereignty and regulatory requirements.

As digital transformation accelerates in the Kingdom, Zscaler’s expanded infrastructure will help reduce latency, improve performance, and ensure full compliance with Saudi regulatory standards. Through its investment in local data centers, Zscaler is enabling regional organizations to adopt cloud-first strategies with greater confidence, offering secure and seamless access to applications and data, regardless of user location.

Supporting a Secure, Cloud-Driven Future

Saeed Agha, Vice President for Emerging Markets at Zscaler, emphasized the strategic intent:

“We are deepening our investments to support a safer and more agile digital future in the Middle East. Our continued expansion in Saudi Arabia reflects our commitment to empowering organizations to adopt the Zero Trust model at scale while ensuring data sovereignty, privacy, and operational efficiency.”

Zscaler’s Strategy Built on Three Core Pillars

  1. Data Localization and Customer Control:
Zscaler ensures customer content is never stored. Logs are securely encrypted, and registration data is retained only for the necessary duration and within customer-preferred regions.

  2. Transparency and Government Requests:
In 2024, Zscaler received 91 government requests for user data but disclosed none, underscoring the company’s strong commitment to data privacy and transparency.

  3. Resilience by Design:
Zscaler’s global cloud infrastructure is built with multi-level fault tolerance, advanced disaster recovery capabilities, and business continuity, ensuring secure, uninterrupted connectivity even during outages or disruptions.

Powering Zero Trust with Global Infrastructure

With over 150 data centers worldwide—including recent expansions in Saudi Arabia—Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform allows organizations to securely connect users, workloads, and devices across distributed environments. The platform reduces both security risks and operational complexity.

This latest expansion follows Zscaler’s strong presence at LEAP 2025, further establishing the company as a trusted security partner for governments, enterprises, and mission-critical sectors across the region.
