“In the present situation, the world faces an unprecedented health crisis – one that calls for us to stand together with persistence and determination. We all should follow the directions and guidance of the UAE’s wise leadership, which is taking every possible measure to prevent and safeguard our community. It is important we follow this significant advice because the good health of our society is the basis of our country’s sustainable development, its economic stability, progress and prosperity,” stated His Excellency Eng. Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, on the occasion of World Health Day.

“On this day, I would like to send a sincere message of thanks and appreciation to all staff working in the healthcare field in the UAE; whether doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians, administrators or care assistants. They are true heroes who are safeguarding our society and making sure we all stay safe. These selfless men and women are working without rest and around the clock to overcome the situation - they are our first line of defence and we owe them an immeasurable debt of gratitude,” stated Eng. Awaidha Al Marar.

“The health and wellbeing of the emirate’s people is a top preference for the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy. We apply global standards at the core of our operations to protect all employees and the wider public,” Eng. Awaidha Al Marar affirmed.

“On this day, we also thank the energy sector’s operational workforce who works on the ground to give essential energy services and assure the security of our energy supply to all members of the community. We urge them to follow all health and safety guidelines issued by the authorities, as they are our most valuable asset and their health and safety is our number one concern,” he mentioned.
