United Motors & Heavy Equipment Co. L.L.C. to Handover Safest-Ever MAN Lions Coaches to Sharjah RTA

Furthering its contribution to the UAE's efforts to earn its roads safer, MALE Truck & Bus has supplied its safest-ever coaches to the Sharjah Road Transport Authority (RTA).

MAN Truck & Buss main partner in the UAE, United Motors & Heavy Equipment Co. L.L.C. (UMHE) turned over a fleet of 10 extravagant MALE Lion's Instructors that are geared up with industry-leading crash avoidance features such as Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Lane Guard System (LGS) along with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), to the Sharjah RTA on 8 January 2018.

It is the very first time these world-class safety features have been used on a GUY Lion's Train in the UAE and remains in line with both the RTA Sharjah's vision for more secure roadways in the Emirates and MAN Truck & Bus own commitment towards improving roadway safety and security for buses in the Middle East.

MANs vehicles are equipped with sophisticated technology to reduce crashes, enhance guest comfort and make sure effective and safe driving.

The Adaptive Cruise Ship Control and Emergency Brake Help systems use radar and onboard cameras to find the rate and range of other vehicles in advance of the GUY Lion's Coach when traveling. The vehicle automatically adjusts rate to ensure a risk-free range is preserved and the Emergency situation Brake Help will initiate braking if the vehicle driver cannot respond to warnings of potential accidents. Similarly, the Lane Guard System (LGS) will certainly caution motorists if they are wandering out of their lane.

In a statement, Franz von Redwitz, Managing Director, GUY Truck & Bus Middle East, stated: "Improving road safety is just one of our highest priorities at MAN and we are honoured to be sustaining the RTA Sharjah and our other regional companions by offering modern technology and training that can have an actual effect on roadway security in the Middle East."

As part of the agreement, Mr. Khalifa Saif Darwish AI Ketbi, Managing Director of UMHE, and Engineer Yousuf Saleh Al Suwaiji, Chairman of Sharjah RTA, reaffirmed the two organizations commitment to building a strong relationship.
