Uae pavilion at expo 2025 osaka reaches record three million visitors milestone
The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has officially welcomed its three millionth visitor, marking a significant achievement as one of the most admired and visited national pavilions at the global event.
Since its opening in mid-April 2025, the pavilion has stood out as a hub of storytelling, cultural exchange, and discovery. With its theme Earth to Ether, it offers visitors an immersive journey that seamlessly blends the UAE’s rich traditions with its forward-looking vision for global progress.
The milestone was celebrated by the pavilion team, who emphasized the importance of connecting with guests and reflecting on the journey so far. Visitors on the day were greeted with the warm hospitality that has become a hallmark of the UAE Pavilion experience.
Central to this success have been the Pavilion’s Youth Ambassadors, who have actively engaged with visitors, shared stories, and created moments of genuine cultural interaction. Their efforts have been key to building a strong connection between the UAE and global audiences.
His Excellency Shihab Alfaheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, said:
“Reaching the three million mark is a huge milestone for the UAE Pavilion. It is a cherished achievement, and speaks to the global resonance of the UAE’s story and our shared aspirations for the future. Every visitor who walks through the Pavilion brings their own voice to our collective journey. Together, we are shaping a narrative that crosses borders, embraces diversity, and accelerates progress. With two months remaining, we want more guests to experience our pavilion.”
The pavilion, designed by the Earth to Ether Design Collective—a consortium of UAE, Japanese, and international partners—has been praised for its architectural innovation, sustainable construction, and powerful storytelling. Its 90 columns, made from agricultural palm waste and inspired by the date palm, embody a design philosophy rooted in shared purpose, creative collaboration, and sustainability.
Inside, guests are guided through five thematic zones, each highlighting the UAE’s advancements in space exploration, healthcare innovation, sustainable technologies, and cultural heritage. Interactive installations, sensory experiences, and a compelling narrative flow have made the pavilion a deeply engaging attraction.
Beyond its exhibits, the pavilion has also emerged as a cultural hub at Expo 2025. Daily programs feature expert talks, creative workshops, Emirati culinary showcases, and artistic performances, drawing visitors and fellow participants alike. Many guests have returned multiple times, underscoring the pavilion’s impact and the enduring connections it fosters across cultures.
With Expo 2025 running until October 13, 2025, the UAE Pavilion continues to welcome the world, showcasing the nation’s values of innovation, sustainability, and openness while inviting visitors to share in its vision for a shared and flourishing future.
