RLC Global Forum and Hamat Honor Retail Leaders at 2026 RLC Honors Gala in Riyadh
RLC Global Forum and Hamat co-hosted the 2026 RLC Honors Gala Dinner in Riyadh, recognizing lifetime contribution and sustained leadership across the global retail, luxury, and consumer ecosystem.
Held on February 3 alongside the 2026 RLC Global Forum gathering, the RLC Honors ceremony brought together senior international and regional executives to celebrate long-term industry impact, transformation, and leadership resilience. Organizers said the awards focus on career-long influence and responsible leadership rather than short-term commercial success.
The gala was staged in partnership with Hamat, described by organizers as a longstanding supporter of the RLC community and its cross-border retail leadership initiatives. The partnership highlights a shared focus on long-term value creation and sector-wide advancement.
Lifetime achievement awards presented
Two senior industry figures were recognized this year for their lasting contributions to global and regional retail.
Marco Bizzarri, former CEO of Gucci and now an entrepreneur and investor, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Luxury Retail. He was recognized for reshaping Gucci into a globally influential luxury brand and strengthening its creative direction, cultural relevance, and long-term brand equity.
Ingie Chalhoub, Founder and President of Etoile Group, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Pioneering Women’s Leadership in Retail. She was honored for her role in developing the Middle East’s luxury retail landscape and for advancing women’s leadership and entrepreneurship in the sector.
Leadership and long-term value focus
Panos Linardos, Chairman of RLC Global Forum, said the Honors emphasize depth of contribution and consistency of leadership over the course of a full career, especially during periods of market change and disruption.
Event speakers also highlighted the importance of platforms that connect global expertise with regional execution, pointing to Saudi Arabia’s expanding influence in shaping the future of retail and consumer industries.
Organizers said the partnership between RLC Global Forum and Hamat reflects a shared goal of fostering meaningful global exchange, recognizing enduring leadership, and supporting a more resilient and forward-looking retail sector.
