The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast continued rainfall across the UAE this week, with fresh showers expected to intensify from Thursday night into Friday.

The country has been experiencing unstable weather conditions in recent days, bringing intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and reduced visibility across key areas including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and surrounding regions.

Scattered showers through midweek

Rainfall of varying intensity is expected to continue through Tuesday and Wednesday, with intermittent showers affecting different parts of the country during the day and evening. Conditions are likely to gradually improve overnight before the next system develops.

New wave of rain from Thursday night

Cloud activity is expected to remain relatively light during Thursday daytime. However, a new wave of rainfall is forecast to begin at night over western areas, particularly Al Dhafra Region, before spreading to coastal, northern, and eastern areas.

The system is expected to extend into Al Ain and continue into Friday morning.

Rain to persist into Friday

Showers are expected to continue into Friday across multiple regions, including northern, eastern, and coastal areas, with varying intensity throughout the day.

Recent weather patterns have already brought heavy rain and strong winds to parts of the UAE, with authorities warning of possible disruptions and reduced visibility on roads.

Residents are advised to stay updated with official forecasts and exercise caution, particularly while driving, as changing weather conditions may impact road safety.
