The Sustainable City, the worlds first fully sustainable community located in Dubailand, has revealed the worlds first and largest rehabilitation and education centre for People of Determination.

The Village had initially proposed to the Dubai Police an idea of a virtual police station on further discussion with Dubai Police they came to an understanding to have a fully functional police station instead of a virtual one. This will help the children with the special needs to become fully accustomed to the functioning of the police and at the same time remove their fear about the men in uniform.

During the media interaction Dr Muhannad Fraihat, Founder and President of Sanad Village, said:Within our village we had an idea of a virtual police station as we had an idea that children are afraid of the police men in the uniform. When we communicated this idea to Dubai Police they proposed the idea of full running police station inside as this will also help the policemen to get accustomed to the autistic children. Now this police station caters to the people with determination and autistic children which is designed to accommodate and help the people with special needs.

Sanad Village is being built on a total area of 32,000 square metres, with construction area of 19,000 square metres, and construction cost exceeding AED 200 million. It currently employs 320 highly trained and qualified professionals from nations around the world, who will be dedicated to caring for 395 People of Determination through daily and residential programs.

Sanad Village seeks to become an advanced modela first of its kindcapable of providing support, training and rehabilitation services through evidence base, results driven, and scientifically proven methods. Sanad offers services of excellence in Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy, Speech Therapy, Vocational Training, and Life Skills Training. As an extension of services provided, a team of experts specialized in organizing workshops and educational classes, will train families and members of the community on how to care for and interrelate with People of Determination.
