Sharjahs Khorfakkan Port receives luxury cruise liner MS Europa 2

Highlighting Sharjah's position as a key cruise tourism destination in the area, international cruise liner MS Europa 2 reached the Khorfakkan Port with more than 500 tourists on board. The luxury liner is the latest making a cruise call at the emirate's east coast ports, which continue to bring in cruise tourists from around the globe.

MS Europa 2, managed by German company Hapag-Lloyd, is the winner of the coveted distinction of 5-stars-plus by the Berlitz Cruise Guide 2016.
On the occasion, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority arranged traditional folk performances to invite the cruise travelers on board MS Europa 2, and presented them to Sharjah's rich cultural and tourism offerings. The travelers were later taken on a trip around the city of Khorfakkan.
As part of its efforts to promote Sharjah as a leading cruise tourist destination, SCTDA is intending to draw in more than 28 cruise journeys with 72,000 travelers to Khorfakkan Port throughout the current season.

The eastern region of Sharjah has actually been witnessing amazing development in recent years, especially after the announcement of a bundle of tourist and leisure jobs, most especially the just recently launched Kalba eco-tourism job 'Alhafia Park'.
