Motorists in Sharjah will face a temporary road diversion at the intersection of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street and Maliha Street starting Sunday, August 16.
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) said the diversion will remain in place until December 6, 2026, as part of improvement works aimed at enhancing traffic flow and improving the efficiency of the emirate’s road network.
Alternative routes advised
The authority has advised motorists to use the approved alternative routes shown on the diversion map while the works are under way.
Drivers have also been urged to follow temporary traffic signs and comply with road safety instructions when approaching and travelling through the affected area.
The diversion is part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and traffic movement across Sharjah. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional travel time during the construction period.
