Samsonite International S.A., the world's biggest manufacturer and leading luggage brand name for more than 100 years, has announced the appointment of Shaheen Jamil as business Head covering the Middle East, Africa, Commonwealth of Independent States [CIS] and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation [SAARC] countries, with immediate effect.

In his new role, Shaheen will be responsible for Samsonite's everyday operations and handling the companys business in the countries throughout various channels, leading the retail, merchandising, planning, sales & marketing and distribution functions.

An alumnus of the Aligarh Muslim University, he holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from St.Xaviers College and has done his Post Graduation from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)-New Delhi. He has actually been acting as Deputy Director at Samsonite Middle East since May 2011, heading a set of countries in the GCC, ME, Levant and Africa.
