Royal Yacht International launches AI-powered superyacht brokerage platform as U.S. demand surges

MONACO — Royal Yacht International (RYI), a global leader in superyacht brokerage and management, has unveiled its new proprietary AI-powered operating platform, marking a major technological milestone for the luxury yachting industry. The launch comes as the company accelerates its expansion across the United States, where ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) yacht ownership is rising sharply due to favourable tax incentives.

Headquartered in Monaco, RYI oversees more than €1 billion in annual transactions and is integrating advanced artificial intelligence across its operations in Monaco, Dubai, and the U.S. The technology is being used by the firm’s licensed American brokers to streamline the process of buying, selling, chartering, and managing high-value vessels.

U.S. tax benefits boost yacht ownership

The company attributes strong demand from American buyers to revised U.S. tax incentives that have expanded depreciation advantages for large capital assets, including superyachts. These policies have positioned the U.S. as one of the fastest-growing and most data-driven markets for luxury vessels.

“Technology, politics, and lifestyle are converging in unprecedented ways,” said Tommaso Chiabra, Co-Founder and President of Royal Yacht International. “Fiscal incentives in the U.S. have empowered a new generation of entrepreneurs to view superyachts not just as lifestyle symbols, but as depreciable investment assets. Our AI platform delivers the transparency and efficiency they expect, similar to their experience in private banking or venture capital.”

AI reshaping luxury yachting

Global investment in artificial intelligence has risen from $150 billion in 2023 to more than $270 billion in 2025, driving rapid adoption across high-end sectors. Royal Yacht International is among the first in the yachting industry to develop an AI infrastructure fully trained on proprietary data, including historical transactions, refits, charter performance, and market analytics.

The platform instantly identifies market valuations, both on- and off-market availability, and optimal acquisition strategies for vessels worldwide. This allows RYI brokers to deliver faster and more discreet transactions with enhanced analytical accuracy.

The end-to-end service offering supported by the AI platform includes:

  • Technical project management and yacht design

  • Legal representation and regulatory compliance

  • Charter management and performance optimisation

  • Sales operations and resale strategy

  • AI-driven vessel redesign based on client preferences

“Our vision is to make yacht brokerage as intelligent and sophisticated as private equity,” Chiabra added. “We are not just digitising the industry—we are reinventing it.”

Award-winning projects and U.S. expansion

Royal Yacht International has been involved in several acclaimed new-build superyacht projects with Benetti, Baglietto, and Overmarine, and holds exclusive representation for select vessels from Dutch and German shipyards. The firm is strengthening its footprint in the U.S. through its Miami-based team, with additional locations planned for 2026.

In 2024, RYI completed 20 superyacht sales worth a total of $1 billion, including notable transactions such as M/Y ANNA, M/Y MONEIKOS, M/Y SEANNA, M/Y FANTASEA, and M/Y ARTISAN. Approximately 70% of the company’s revenue comes from repeat clients, reflecting its boutique advisory approach.
