The new facility opened in Sharjah Hamriya Free Zone by the well-known foodstuff company Arab India Spices can save, process and feed the whole population of UAE for at least 6 months with a big volume of more than 52,000 metric lots of Pulses & Lentils at the very best international standards. The 12 SILOs (huge storage houses) set up at the Free Zone's Phase 2 area with an investment of more than AED 150 million, were opened by HE Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Qassimi (Hon. Chairman of Sharjah Sea Ports & Customs) jointly with HE Vipul - Consul General of India in Dubai, HE Ilker Kilic - Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Dubai, HE Jean Philippe Linteau -Consul General of Canada in Dubai, Mr. Saud Al Mazroie -Director, Hamriya Freezone Authority Sharjah in presence of Harish Tahiliani-- Managing Director Arab India Spices and its chairman Kumarbhai Tahiliani.

The SILOs were put up by the finest innovation from Turkey (MYSILO) and ensuring the worldwide standards of keeping the Pulses & Lentils at its designated parameters in temperature, cleanliness, and toughness. A Fully automated loading and unloading system is in place for storage and delivery in wholesale, stated Harish Tahiliani.

UAE, Canada, Turkey are the concerned countries in this mega project as Canada supply bulk quantities of Pulses & Lentils from the original farming sources to the UAE. All the farm growing countries are involved in sending their shipments to Sharjah now as part of this SILO project which can ensure a larger role in keeping the food security of UAE at its best.
