ONE Development and Amr Diab break ground on DO Dubai Islands, unveiling the world’s first AI-powered musical hotel apartments

ONE Development, one of the region’s fastest-growing AI-driven real estate developers, has officially broken ground on its flagship project, DO Dubai Islands, introducing the world’s first AI-powered musical hotel apartments. The ceremony was attended by Ali Al Gebely, Founder and Chairman of ONE Development, and Amr Diab, global music icon and strategic partner in the project.

Managed by DO Hotels & Residences, the development combines music, wellness, and intelligent technology, setting a new benchmark for experiential hospitality. The project will offer hotel-serviced waterfront apartments and branded residences featuring AI-enabled personalisation, immersive soundscapes, and wellness-centric amenities.

The UAE’s hospitality sector continues to show robust growth — valued at USD 23.9 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 37.7 billion by 2033, expanding at more than 5% annually. Dubai remains the driving force behind this momentum, having welcomed 1.94 million international visitors in January 2025, reflecting a 9% year-on-year increase.
